I queued for an hour and a half to get in, and it was worth the wait.
(For reference, the store is about the size of a decent soccer field.)
They had well-designed furniture and homeware at reasonable prices.
I can see why IKEA is famous worldwide.
Still, unless you live in Japan, there’s probably no real reason to go out of your way..
At a stationery shop in Omotesando Hills..
I’m really into the things I use for work. Pens and notebooks especially are tools for recording ideas,
so I try to use good ones. The notebooks on display here were so pretty I wanted to splurge on one..
but a regular-size notebook was 10,000 yen. The leather cover is gorgeous, sure.. but 10,000 yen.. T_T
Every piece of stationery design here was fantastic.
Omotesando Hills is full of other fun shops too, so if you’re into shopping, it’s worth a visit.

I bought a tripod this time. Even though I went with carbon, it was heavy and a pain to lug around, but now I can shoot night scenes.
It’s going to widen the range of photos I can take.
The wind was blowing really hard that day, and because of it I didn’t notice something had got on the lens. OTL
That’s why the image quality looks off.

A ride at LaQua
Next to Tokyo Dome there’s a hot spring and amusement complex called LaQua. Kind of like a summer getaway right in the middle of the city?
Then again, unless you live in Tokyo, you probably won’t feel any need to go here either.
A roller coaster you have to wait at least two hours to ride
Go there and you’ll hear a scream every five minutes. It was a really fun place. Next time I’ve got to try the hot spring T_T
This time I didn’t have enough time to get to the hot spring.

It was really delicious sake, and it was a really tiny neighborhood yakitori place. It’s fairly well known, but I’m not sure whether I’ll end up writing about it in detail.

It was near where I stayed in Tokyo this time. A lovely day off with the sunlight sparkling.
There were plenty of ups and downs, but it was a really fun trip. I’m sure there’ll be another chance like this..
