Saizeriya, the Neighborhood Italian

These days I’m honestly not so sure whether Saizeriya even counts as Italian anymore.

Beef steak

Beef steak

Apparently it’s a brand-new item. Over 1,000 yen is pricey by Saizeriya standards.

Salad

Salad

I love how cheap the salads are..

Cheese focaccia

Cheese focaccia

It’s bread, but it’s perfectly edible.

Corn soup

Corn soup

A little palate cleanser.

Tarako (cod roe) pasta

Tarako (cod roe) pasta

Not really a flavor I’m into.

Lamb skewers x4, arrosticini in the double size

Lamb skewers x4, arrosticini in the double size

I ordered these because I absolutely love them. They’re fantastic with a drink.

Beef steak

Beef steak

I tried it just to see, but chicken is still the number one steak here. The beef isn’t exactly high quality, but the portion is big and the sauce is decent, so it’s perfectly edible.

Pasta

Pasta

It’s fine, nothing more.

Fried shrimp

Fried shrimp

Good enough as a bar snack.

Pizza

Pizza

Generous portion, but the dough isn’t great.

Pudding

Pudding

The desserts are good.

Truffle ice cream

Truffle ice cream

This one’s tasty too.

Whatever you say about it, Saizeriya is such great value that I don’t think I’ve ever left unsatisfied. I figured they didn’t add new menu items very often, but lately it seems like new stuff pops up every now and then. Probably worth dropping by once in a while.
