Pain de mie means a sandwich loaf, but this place isn’t actually a shokupan specialist.. Apparently it’s a bakery that has been famous in Wangsimni for ages.
Lim Sung-geun on the way there
I really wondered what the connection was..
The bakery..
They have done a nice job with it.
The breads
They looked pretty good..
The breads
They all look tasty, but I did wonder whether any of it has anything to do with pain de mie..
The ones I picked this time
Both were tasty. Certified as a proper neighborhood bakery.
All sorts of bread
The baking skills here are the real deal.
Another bakery right out front..
There are a ton of bakeries in this neighborhood too..
I live in Seongdong..
Winter is over and cherry blossom season has arrived.
A scene I shot while walking along..
Lovely..
Olkeupaek
It is in Dapsimni, but since that is near Wangsimni I stopped by once. They were not open.. I just got a rough idea of where the place is..
One Star Bakery
This one is also a popular bakery around Wangsimni, but I got there late so there was not much bread left.. Only natural when a place is popular.. If you do not line up, you do not get the good bread either..
