Daegwanwon in Yeongdeungpo never disappoints. There was a gourmet get-together, so I joined in.

Shui Jing Fang and Wuliangye
The Shui Jing Fang seemed to be a rather special version. I gathered someone had brought it back from China.
Chili shrimp
The shrimp were nice and plump.
Crab meat sanseul
I always knew this as the house signature, but lately it seems to be showing up here and there under the name buyong crab meat.
Five-spice braised beef
A nice dish to eat like a salad. They do it well, as always.
Nanjawanseu meatballs
The frying is just right too.
A new bottle
It was the kind of gathering where the drinks never ran out.
Yurinchi (crispy chicken with scallion sauce)
It had a nice kick to it. I heard this is one of their famous dishes.
Catfish in fish-fragrant sauce
I have no idea how they fry such delicate fish this well.
Jjamppong
The noodle and rice dishes are excellent too.
Seoul kaoliang liquor
They said it is a kaoliang liquor made in Korea, and it tasted really excellent.
Jjajangmyeon
I felt like I was about to burst, but it was too good not to eat.
Chocolate from Bonaterra in Goseong
Really well made, and a perfect dessert.
A gathering where everything was delicious from start to finish. Every now and then, a get-together like this is really nice.
