I had work in Nagoya, so I paid it a visit.

It’s closer than I expected and it doesn’t cost all that much either. At this rate, if I pushed myself a little, I could even commute there every day. About the same as going from Gyeonggi-do to Gangnam, really..

I just stumbled on it while wandering around inside the station, and — oh no.. it looked so good I couldn’t not buy something.

They had rum raisin anpan?? There was no way I wasn’t buying that.. There was caramel macchiato anpan, yuzu anpan, an-butter (sweet red bean paste with butter) croissants — a genuinely fascinating place.

I bought a few and tried them, and every one was delicious. The rum raisin was the real deal too.. Finding something curious wherever you go is, I think, one of Japan’s defining traits.
