Laboratory is an unusual place that serves seafood and shirunashi (soupless) tantanmen at the same time.

In the evening it seems to turn into a drinking spot.
The menu
There is maguro, there are oysters, the menu is quite varied.
A plate of uni too
Labotan Shiro
Supposedly the less spicy tantanmen, and it is tasty. The noodles are nice and chewy, the sauce is just right.. it has a character of its own, different from Hiroshima-style shirunashi tantanmen.
Winter-only oyster ramen
With nori and Japanese parsley piled on a salt-based broth, it tastes very Korean. It was good, but maybe a bit too familiar..
Labotan
It was good, though the Shiro might be a touch better?
Seafood Labotan
A tantanmen built on a clam chowder base, and, hmm.. the toppings are lavish, but I think the plain Labotan tastes better.
The noodles
The noodles are good, but the spicy one suits them better, I think.
