I went to Camelback in Yoyogi-Hachiman because I’d heard it’s famous for the tamago sando made by an owner who used to work at a sushi restaurant.
This isn’t the main shop but a branch.
Sure enough, it’s close to the bakery 365 Nichi. The famous places are almost all clustered in one spot.
The vibe is like this..
A clean, tidy cafe atmosphere.
The tamago sando..
It really was the size of an egg..
Anyway, let’s dig in..
There’s a slight kick of mustard that keeps the sweetness of the tamago in check. Just what you’d expect from a sushi chef. It’s very well made, but I hadn’t expected it to be finger-food size.. It seemed just right as a side to a coffee.
