There is a roadside station in Toyohashi, and I heard it had just opened all shiny and new, so I went to take a look.

They looked good, but I had already stopped by Yoshioka, so I had no capacity left to buy more bread. The quality looks pretty serious though, so I think it would be worth making a special trip.

Apparently it is a shop that is well known in town. It seems to be famous for having quail egg gelato.

The Black Thunder factory is in Toyohashi. So it is a point of local pride..

You can get Toyohashi curry udon, there are Aichi specialties too, and it turns out to be a decent place to stop for a meal when you are passing through this area. You end up pulling in here anyway if you are taking the bypass up to Nagoya.
