They have come in here too. It is just an everyday thing when you go to Japan, though.. they even sell it at the duty-free shops..

They sell shengjianbao, the pan-fried buns written 生煎包.

They sell more kinds of dumplings than I expected.

Restaurants like this have appeared too..

Really glitzy.. the department store basement feels like it has turned into something close to the restaurant floors of Azabudai Hills. And it also feels a bit like a Culinary Class Wars pop-up.

Dumplings like these

The bottom is fried crisp for an almost pastry-like texture, and the top is a dumpling packed with meat and juices. It felt somewhere between a xiaolongbao and a dumpling, which made for a fun flavor.. for the sake of the soup inside alone you want to eat them piping hot, and the shrimp one has a big, springy shrimp inside, so personally I liked the shrimp one better.. Some people say the mainland Chinese version is better, but who knows when I will get to go, so it is good to try it as an experience while the chance is there.

It is a pretty famous place in Japan, and now there is one in Korea too. Amazing..
