I saw on TV that there is a handmade sweets shop that has been in business for ages, so I went to have a look.
The place
It looks like it has about 50 years of history behind it. Apparently they make the sweets by hand, every single day.

A bag stuffed full with a bit of everything comes to 10,000 won, so the value is not bad at all. Old-fashioned sweets like these usually come out of a factory rock hard.. (I suspect that has something to do with distribution..) but since these are made by hand they are not that hard, and not too sweet either, which made them great as a snack, and they even felt a little upmarket.. (the trade-off is that they go soft quickly, so you do have to eat them fast..)
Either way, a shop like this has to close the moment either the owner or his wife falls ill.. so if you want to visit, better to go before it is too late.. and they do not take cards, only cash or a bank transfer, so keep that in mind..
