I’m not particularly into scones, but I heard they sold a chocolate baguette, so I went to have a look.

They’ve done the place up nicely.. and judging by how small the space is, I suspect they’re mainly doing delivery..

It feels like a shop specialized in desserts. The fact that they even have butter tteok seems to point that way..

Valrhona chocolate baguette

Hmm.. it’s completely smothered in chocolate, so rather than a baguette, this is more like a dessert that happens to be baguette-shaped.. Of course, with that much chocolate on it, it does taste good, but it got me wondering what the essence of a chocolate baguette really is.. Anyway, it did taste good.. The butter tteok was tasty too, though it’s clearly not on the level of Ripichip.. (the chewiness is a little lacking, I’d say..) Still, for a neighborhood shop, flavor like this is plenty good.. It’s impressive how Bupyeong keeps getting all sorts of good places to eat.
