Daigaku Imo (Candied Sweet Potatoes)

These are candied sweet potatoes sold at 7-Eleven. They taste like standard mattang, but the advantage is that you can eat them anytime. Come to think of it, in Korea, you usually have to go to a Chinese restaurant to get these.

Capricciosa Tomato and Garlic

I’ve always liked Capricciosa, but this pasta is truly delicious. It’s easy to prepare since you just have to thaw it. I want to visit a Capricciosa restaurant someday, but there aren’t any nearby so I haven’t been able to.

Apparently, this is a limited edition that combines Rumee and Bacchus… The taste wasn’t bad, but since it doesn’t have raisins, I prefer Rumee.

This is a melon that costs 50,000 won per fruit. It wasn’t easy to time the ripeness, and it was way too sweet and watery. It tastes good, but I’ve experienced it once, so that’s enough.

Goma Dofu (Sesame Tofu)

The show “Culinary Class Wars” was filmed around here, and Chef Choi Kang-rok won first place with Goma Dofu. So I tried making it, and it was delicious. The way the chewy texture blends into the soup is a real treat.
