Shimizu Port in Shizuoka and Nobu-chan Conveyor Belt Sushi

After seeing the stunning view of Mount Fuji at Miho no Seki, I headed over to Shimizu Port. You can see Mount Fuji from here as well.

A place like this

There’s a Ferris wheel.

The harbor scenery

The view of Mount Fuji from here is also wonderful. Though the clouds were starting to gather a bit… Shimizu Port is a great spot for an itinerary since you can see Mount Fuji and there are plenty of restaurants.

A place like this

There’s a Saboten, but there are mostly sushi shops.

Chinese restaurant

They even have places like this.

Mount Fuji made of sushi

I didn’t expect to see something like this…

Since I was traveling in a group, it was hard to pick a famous gourmet spot, so I just went into a place with plenty of empty seats. That place was called Nobuchan.

Three types of Maguro

The rice was just okay, but the toppings were fresh and tasty.

Anago

This kind of thing is always delicious.

Maguro

Maybe it was sea bream…

Prices and today’s recommended menu

The prices are reasonable. Not too expensive.

Was it Saba…

Engawa

Negitoro

I enjoyed the meal and it didn’t cost as much as I expected. Of course, it’s more expensive than places like Sushiro, but for sushi eaten after seeing Mount Fuji, it wasn’t bad at all.

Near the entrance

This whole street was filled with sushi shops. I just went into the one with the shortest line, and it was pretty decent.
