I’ve been eating rye bread regularly these days, so I dropped by Roggenheim for the first time in a while. There aren’t many rye bread bakeries this good, you know.

From my experience.. there are only a handful of places in Seoul selling traditional German bread.. they all sell bread tweaked into the styles popular in Korea.. in that sense this shop is precious, I’d say.. bread arranged the Korean way is a bit bland..

Already sold out.. the bakeries and bread fans of Gangdong are really something.

Seongnae Bakery

There was hardly anything left to buy here either.. with Gangdong developing so fast there’s an overflowing demand for good bread, but it seems there still aren’t many places that can compete..
