Scenes of Seochon

Here are some photos I took while walking a loop around Seochon.

Something like this..

I stopped in here too, and it turned out to be a specialist in French-style breads like croissants. The thing is, the number of places doing croissants well has grown so much lately.. If you don’t have a good croissant shop near home, coming all the way out here to buy some makes sense, but these days I can just get them nearby, and I’d had a great croissant not long before, so I skipped it. This is a genuinely outstanding shop, and yet neighbourhood bakeries have caught up to that level, which I think is pretty remarkable.

First time I’ve laid eyes on this place, and there’s a queue here now too.

Gulim, a baked-sweets shop

I knew they had moved to Seongsu, but I had no idea they had opened in Seochon as well.. They weren’t open on this day, though.

Jalppajin Memil, another buckwheat noodle place

So there was a place like this too. There’s still a lot about Seochon I don’t know..

A lovely hanok cafe
