Just posting the odds and ends of photos I have left over.
Chocolate from Gateau Festa Harada
A friend gave it to me as a gift, and it is pretty good. It is sweet, though. These days I have been avoiding anything too sweet..
A toocki charger
Apparently toocki is popular on Coupang these days because it is cheap and performs well. Something that costs 100,000 won elsewhere is 30,000 won under the toocki brand, so what can you even say.. The 67W one can be had for around 20,000 won, so there is no way not to buy it. In the end, with this style of charger, performance matters but durability is the real issue, and even chargers from very famous brands tend to break down before long. It is a heating device after all, so heat builds up and kills it.. But this one is sturdy and has given me no trouble so far. On top of that it shows the wattage it is drawing, so I can tell whether it is still charging or already done, which is nice too. It is the kind of product that makes you think, so this is what made in China means now.
Noodle Fit, kimchi sabalmyeon flavor
It is a lower-calorie take on the flavor of kimchi sabalmyeon, and it is perfectly edible. I think it makes a decent alternative when you want something as a late-night snack.
Rice ramyeon
The noodles are reasonably clean-tasting and a little spicy, with a faint Southeast Asian feel to them. Southeast Asian noodles are somewhat different from ramyeon noodles, though, so there is that gap. Anyway, it did not taste bad.
Oscar Mayer Original bacon
This bacon is genuinely tasty, but it has a serious amount of fat. It is good for frying an egg with, and it made a good budae jjigae too. It really brought home that fat is the foundation of flavor!
A wine opener
This is a wine opener I am fond of, and when I searched around thinking I might buy a spare in case I lose it, it turned out the model has already been discontinued. The name seems to be dauphin because the design looks a bit like a dolphin; now that I cannot buy another one, I had better use it carefully. This time I used the wine opener on a can that was jammed too tight to open. Nothing else I tried worked, so it was a total cheat code. The catch is that in that case there is no avoiding a wrecked lid.
Sante Medical Active A
These are eye drops; my eyes have been feeling dry lately so I picked some up. Eye health seems to have something to do with humidity, and I feel like my eyes get tired especially in winter. In summer I can get by well enough without eye drops.
Kavalan
Looks like they are still selling it hard these days..
No Brand edamame
All you have to do is let it thaw on its own and it is ready to eat, so it is great with drinks. Considering the amount you get, the price is not bad either. Being able to eat edamame this easily in Korea too – the world really has gotten a lot better.
Glycine
I bought it because I heard it helps you sleep soundly, but I cannot really tell..
Kimchi Jjaguri
It is Jjaguri eaten bibim style with less water than usual, and among the Neoguri series it was decent.
