Takeout from Eomjine Kkomak in Gyodae

One day I suddenly felt like having cockle bibimbap, so I went to the Eomjine Kkomak near me. These days you don’t have to travel all the way to Gangneung, because it’s become a chain, which is why Eomjine Kkomak is so easy to get now. The world has gotten a lot better, hasn’t it?

Seasoned cockles

Eomjine kkomak.

Since I was getting it to go anyway, I was told there was no need to buy the bibimbap on purpose, so I bought just the seasoned cockles and mixed my own version at home. It may look like there isn’t much, but this was enough for three or four people to eat their fill. It wasn’t all that salty and not as spicy as it looks, so it was easy to eat as well. Of course, if you bought cockles at home and seasoned and tossed them yourself you could get this same taste, but it’s a completely labor-intensive job. Given that, cockle bibimbap might be one of those things where buying it is the better deal.
