I went back to USJ. It’s a famous spot anyway, so this will be a pretty loose review.
Near the hotel
This time I set the schedule up as one overnight stay plus a USJ visit. A day trip is possible, but it’s rough, and I wanted to do some sightseeing in Osaka too, so that’s how I planned it. That said, hotels near USJ aren’t cheap. Anyway… since I was going to stay at a hotel, being able to leave my luggage there was a real advantage.
Once inside
A Christmas tree was there waiting for us.
The Minions shop
Minions popcorn
Apparently amazing things are happening…
It’s been ages since I’ve seen Woody Woodpecker; I’m not sure how many people still remember him these days.
Jaws Dog
There was no way I wasn’t ordering one…
Hello Kitty
Well… nothing special, but the line was long.
Something like this on the menu
The taste is just so-so.
Butterbeer
Maybe it was the bad weather that day, or maybe it’s because Harry Potter has been open for a long time now, but I could buy one right away.
Desserts
They sell a lot of fun stuff.
Jurassic Park
It seemed like a decent enough event. Kids love dinosaurs, after all.
The Jurassic Park restaurant
This place doesn’t get very crowded, so it seems like a good spot to take a break while walking around.
WaterWorld
There’s an attraction here, but I always have to be somewhere else, so I never end up getting the chance to see it.
The inside looks like this…
I really should see it once before it closes for good…
551 Horai
When I was about to head back to the hotel in the evening, the line at Horai was incredibly long… So I gave up on Horai this time – or rather, I figured I’d stop by the one at the station before heading back, but the line at the station was way too long as well, so I gave up… Still, if you’ve been to Osaka three times, buying some at least once feels like the right thing to do…
