When you hear Oktoberfest you might think of October, but in Japan they usually hold it in summer. It’s an event where you can enjoy all sorts of German beers and snacks. In Tokyo it’s normally held in Odaiba, and the last time I went there was a seriously heated idol performance going on.. anyway.. one of these events was being held on an empty lot in Hamamatsu, so I dropped by.
This kind of atmosphere
Compared to Tokyo there aren’t really any side events, but it’s summer and it’s hot, so you end up wanting a drink in the middle of the day..

The prices aren’t cheap, but an event has its own atmosphere, doesn’t it
This kind of beer stand
There were more people than I expected, and sometimes there was even a queue.
Snacks
Beer
I think it was a special beer that had just landed in Japan for the first time, or something like that.. The taste wasn’t bad. Then again, this is an event whose whole point is drinking in the daytime, so I’d say the atmosphere mattered more than the flavour.
