This place tastes great, the portions are generous, and if you order takeout you don’t have to wait, so I stop by fairly often. Pretty much top tier in Seoul.

Had this in the basement of my office building, and it was nothing special.

The budae jjigae that a Korean BBQ joint near the office serves on its lunch menu. It’s edible enough.

I ordered this at a tonkatsu specialist called Tampopo, and everything on the menu except the tonkatsu turned out to be spicy.. Is everything like this these days? I found myself wondering..

Changgo 43, Seocho branch

This place is enormous and the interior is nice too. I had no idea somewhere like this existed in Seocho. Seems like a good spot for an important get-together.

Lunch at Sukkarak, a home-style baekban place

This place is really good value. It’s just lunch, but the side dishes are decent and the main course is something grilled.
