There’s a tonkatsu place near Eonju Station that’s popular with the locals.
This place
The sign says Mutekiya, and the Korean version of that name seems to be “Invincible Tonkatsu”. The mascot is pretty cute, I’ll admit.
Loin katsu set
Since it was my first time here, I figured I should order the basic menu item. It looked like Japanese-style tonkatsu, so I went with the loin katsu, and out came a thick cut of pork with no off-flavours at all. For this price that’s really excellent, and it tasted like the kind of thing the office workers around here would love.

The place was doing pretty brisk business. In the end, maybe what really matters for an office worker is knowing where the spots like this are.
