A friend of mine said they’d got hold of tickets to a film preview screening, so off I went.
Squid legs instead of dinner
It took me ages just to get to the car park, so this ended up being my dinner.. But why is it so expensive? The screening itself was free, sure, but the price you actually pay for a cinema ticket has shot up too, and the snacks are no joke either. It had been a really long time since I’d been to a cinema, what with COVID, and I had no idea prices had climbed this much.
Something like this..
The film was decent enough. It’s alternate history, really.. so from the point of view of someone like me who remembers those days, there are bits that don’t quite add up, but today’s generation won’t know the difference anyway, so I figured it was fine.
Stage greeting
I did get to see Jung Woo-sung and Lee Jung-jae that day, but seeing them in the flesh didn’t do much for me — what struck me more was getting a close-up look at Go Youn-jung, who really is beautiful.. She went on to blow up in Alchemy of Souls after this.. but in this film you can see her working hard to come across as ordinary.. Anyway, the stage greeting was great. If a chance like this ever comes round again, I’ll have to go..
