Good Stuff Eatery made the news before it even opened, with its hydroponic organic vegetables and its Obama burger.. it opened in a fairly eye-catching spot by Gangnam Station, with a flashy interior. It’s closed now, though.
The menu
The salad bar
Hydroponic vegetables
It did look impressive, I’ll give it that..
A place like this..
The burger and the salad
Taste-wise it’s so-so, decent enough..
The inside
The problem with this place isn’t the organic angle or the Obama angle, it’s that the burger is small.. and being a premium burger, it isn’t cheap either.. Order one and it isn’t quite enough, but ordering a second one feels awkward, so dissatisfaction is inevitable.. I had high hopes for the vegetables too, but hydroponics may well be the technology of the future, yet it doesn’t seem to make anything taste better.. No matter how fresh a salad is, it can’t possibly be dramatically better than a salad that wasn’t grown hydroponically..
I suppose I should have posted this a lot sooner.. but thanks to my laziness.. anyway, the place shut down after only a few months, so this post has ended up being a completely pointless one..
