The plan was to take the hotel shuttle bus to Kyoto Station, buy some omiyage, and then head home.
The hotel had a small bar-like space set up where you could wait for the shuttle bus.
It has a cafe-like atmosphere. Nicely done.
When I got to the station, I spotted Kirby monaka.
There really seems to be a lot more character merchandise these days.

The yatsuhashi I bought that day
It is a hard cinnamon-flavoured cracker with a long history, and it still tastes pretty good today.
A seasoning packet for making Shinpuku Saikan’s fried rice
They were selling it at the supermarket inside the station so I picked one up, and it reproduced the flavour of the main shop surprisingly well. It feels like a lot of fun products are coming out lately… Supermarkets turn out to have plenty of unusual omiyage.
