Curry tantanmen at Menya Itadori
A really well-made bowl of ramen, as you’d expect. A shame it doesn’t come with a salad, but in Japan you can always grab one at a convenience store for around 100 yen, so it’s hardly a problem.

Protein + salad…
Kohaku cup noodles
Tabelog 3.96, apparently. The shop looks good, but the problem is that it’s too far away for me to find the time to go… so I bought this instead… It didn’t taste bad, though it’s probably nowhere near the level of the actual shop.
Soup Harusame Nira-tama Ippai
It has a nice bit of heat to it too, so it’s tasty.
Kesennuma specialty shark fin cup ramen

You could think of it as a kind of ankake. It doesn’t taste overwhelmingly of shark fin, but it’s a flavour whose warmth lingers. It’s the same with Buddha Jumps Over the Wall – anything shark-fin related has this kind of warmth, and you can feel it even in a cup ramen.
