A ramen shop called MEN Cry opened in Hamamatsucho… the location is a pain to find and the style is unusual, but the reviews were good so I went to check it out.

There’s a whole write-up out front. It sits in what feels like a back alley in a residential area, and yet plenty of people were finding their way there.

The noodles
The noodles being outrageously thick is this shop’s signature, and rather than the springy bite of udon they felt more like the soft rice cakes in tteokguk. That’s exactly why they went so well with the niboshi broth. I had no idea this kind of combination could work.
Ajitama
The egg seems to be seriously famous here.

So I ordered it, and it’s so good. This place really is an egg specialist…
