A beautiful day out. I finally made it to Paradiso, the Italian restaurant in Tsukiji I had been meaning to try. Not an easy place to walk into on your own, so I put a team together.

Tsukiji is one giant construction site. The work was supposed to be finished in time for the Olympics, but in the end it was still going even while the Games were on.. It did get put to good use as a parking lot, though..

Tsukiji Honganji
On a day like this, even a snapshot taken at random turns out like a work of art..
champagne
bread to start
antipasto assortment
Well.. just so-so.. This place has quite a reputation, but the level is really disappointing.
pasta
Plenty of ingredients in it and the taste isn’t bad.. but for the price, hmm.. I feel like it would taste better if I just made it myself..

pasta..
I had high hopes since it’s an expensive, famous place.. but it’s a bit underwhelming. I suppose the only consolation is that I never have to go back.
tamagoyaki
100 yen a stick, and it’s delicious.
Hermès in Ginza
The orange is lovely..
