Coming out of the hotel and driving along the main street of Nasu, you pass all kinds of shops. It is a well-known tourist area, after all. We couldn’t get around all of them, so we just tried a few.
Butter no Itoko
This place is supposed to be that good, but we turned up late and couldn’t buy a thing. Covid or not, you should assume the tourist spots near the cities are packed.
A cafe like this
They have done a really nice job with the cafe.
Soft serve
The milk is good in the highlands, so the ice cream is good too.
The former Aoki family villa
A cultural property, apparently. They certainly built it beautifully.
Sky
Sky
Sky
The sky was really magnificent. We had a little time left so we stopped by the outlet mall as well, but nothing much caught my eye. There were a few restaurants using local ingredients, but we were pressed for time…
Nasu Cafe
There is one place to eat inside Nasu station.
Meal tickets
Quite a lot of items on the menu.
Soba
When you are out in the regions, there are times when a hot bowl of soba is exactly what you want. It tasted good, too. The ramen looked good as well, but that is for next time…
