Shakishaki, the buffet restaurant at Risonare Nasu

With the pandemic on, mealtimes worried me a lot, so we decided to eat in the room. Maybe because it is a Hoshino Resorts property, they have that kind of service down.

I snapped a few shots of the place while heading over to pick up the food.

It all looked fresh and delicious, but eating at a buffet just felt a bit uneasy right then.

The portions were enormous. Everything tasted good, but it was a shame that it was a little different from the dishes you can actually have in the restaurant itself. And there were so many wine-friendly bites that I found myself wishing I had brought a bottle of wine along.

Besides this place there is also a French restaurant serving course meals, but that one was already fully booked.. so we had no choice.
