Saigon Lee, a Vietnamese restaurant in Noryangjin

These days I’ve been riding a Ttareungi (Seoul’s public bike share) everywhere. It’s 40,000 won a year for the two-hour-per-ride pass, which is basically free, so why am I only finding out about this now.. Ride it twice a month and it already pays for the bus/subway fares. And once I started riding around, the Han River turned out to be really useful. Gangnam to Noryangjin is 30-40 minutes, and even Hongdae is within an hour. The subway is no exercise and feels stuffy, so this has opened up a whole new world. (I do sweat a bit, though..)

Anyway, that’s how I ended up going to Noryangjin a lot..

Arrived at Saigon Lee

I arrived with Noryangjin’s young energy coming at me from all sides. I’d gone in a tracksuit, and the tracksuit ratio around here is far too high. Total kinship.. Anyway, this time I got a banh mi to take away.

This is straight-up jeyuk-bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork).. This style might land better with Koreans, but it didn’t do much for me.

Off to Yeouido

I’d eaten, so off I went to Yeouido for a wander. The Ttareungi makes getting around feel effortless.

The weather is just too good.
