I have reason to be in Myeongdong often, and while I’m there I end up dropping into Lotte Department Store as well. They put on a lot of fun events, and lately they’ve even added something like a cafe street, so it does look like they’re making an effort to change.

Yeoseotsi Oven

It’s run by Ours Blanc, so I had high hopes for it, and they bake even better bread than I expected.

This is the kind of sharply shaped bread they turn out.

What I picked

Plenty of places sell galettes these days.. a shame they’re not as rare anymore, but I like them, so it doesn’t bother me.

They sell bread like this too..

It looks delicious at a glance, and it tastes delicious too. Good bakeries around Jongno are honestly close to wiped out.. (there are plenty over in Hongdae, though..) so it’s a relief that a good one has opened.
