Something rather nice opened near the office. There’s a tendon specialist called Mitsumura in Toranomon, and apparently this place was spun off from it.
It looks like this..
Being a new shop, it’s all shiny and spotless. The line gets long fast, so it’s best to get in before 12. In other words, it’s the kind of place only managers and above, who can slip out before the lunch rush, get to enjoy at leisure..
Oshibori
The quality is way too fancy. Is it really okay to use something like this as a disposable.. or do they collect them, wash them and reuse them.. One of those moments when you worry about the planet..
Pickles
It’s tendon, so you don’t need a big spread of anything.
Chopsticks
Nice attention to detail.
The 1,200 yen kakiage tendon
I had no idea they’d use shrimp this big and plump. The quality is what you’d expect to pay 3,000 yen for at a specialist. Getting it this cheap feels like a real bargain. A new lunch favorite is born.
