Molto is, well… a place I drop by often, so I’ll keep this post rough. Coming back after a while, it seemed like the place had grown a bit too.
Wine
This time we went with the recommended wine; it seems they’ve been importing wine themselves lately, so they picked out a bottle with outstanding value for us. The depth of knowledge there is no joke…
Carpaccio
A little something to start…
Burrata
Perfect with wine.
Roman-style gnocchi
This one goes perfectly with wine too.
Steak
Probably about as good as steak gets in Korea…
Roman-style chicken
The tasty plates just keep coming…
Tonight’s wine
It feels like being on a trip to Italy…
Salad
A palate cleanser.
Tajarin with ragù
Drinks first, noodles last.
HERR, a rum known as the “pineapple bomb.” It’s a Shinanoya exclusive, a bottle I bought on a staff recommendation.
They say it’s cognac cask, but how on earth does it get this deep? It was so astonishingly good I kept marveling as I drank. And it’s 63% too… I should have bought a whole case of this… The world of whisky really is unfathomable. A bottle under 20,000 yen turns out to be legendary… I guess that’s why I got hooked…
Caramels flown in from France
Nothing but gratitude.
Nibbles
Once the booze comes out, the nibbles come with it.
Truffle bread from Sikbugwan
I gave it a try…
It’s studded with bits of truffle… the aroma is no joke.
It went well with the rum too.
