Oribori Someori Gukbap in Gyeyang, Incheon

Obviously Incheon has its great restaurants too; it’s just too far for me to get to. This time I had the time, so I went to try the famous Oribori Someori Gukbap (beef head soup).

Front

It used to be Oribori So-gopchang (beef intestines), but they’ve changed the sign. And the “main branch” written on it — does that mean they’re planning to open a branch? I don’t really know the details.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., no more than one bottle of soju per table.

For table turnover, I suppose? Still, one bottle should be enough, shouldn’t it..

Menu

Oribori somorigukbap

I ordered the ttaro gukbap, with the rice served separately.

Here it is.

The quality is really good, and the regular size seems to give you more than the large. It made me think this is what the great gukbap places of the past must have been like.

Meat

Oribori somorigukbap

Good quality.

Wall

I hope they keep this up for a long time to come.
