Three famous San Francisco bakeries have opened in Korea. Who would have thought? After Mr. Holmes and Tartine, the third one up is b. patisserie, and since it’s in Garosu-gil, it’s easy to get to.
b. patisserie
Stylish, as you’d expect..
Cakes
Cookies and pastries
Bread
Kouign-amann
Today’s picks
Plain and black sesame.. both are full of charm. No wonder they’re popular. Kouign-amann is a sweet pastry by nature, but if it’s too sweet it gets hard to eat. They’ve nailed that balance, and with the nutty flavor of black sesame on top, it becomes a completely new pastry.
Ciabatta
This one’s ordinary.. From now on it’s kouign-amann only at this place…
Orange juice
That was my order.
The coffee is from Sightglass, apparently.
They say this is another famous coffee roaster from San Francisco.
Cafe latte
Pretty. I’m so glad a world-class dessert shop has come to Korea.
