Pyeonghwaok Pop-up in Garosu-gil

As far as I know, Pyeonghwaok is now well established at Incheon Airport, but back then the only place to eat it was in Garosu-gil.

Entrance

Bypoing

Nicely done up for a pop-up.

Naengmyeon

Bypoing

The naengmyeon was top-notch. The noodles were well made, the broth was rich, and the meat had a decent chew to it.

Noodles

Bypoing

The noodles might divide opinion a bit. I found them a little dry, while someone else said they were like dried noodles. I have had no reason to go to Incheon Airport lately, so I do not know how they are now, but that is how they were then. I enjoyed them anyway. This was the time when new naengmyeon places were popping up everywhere, and I visited a lot of them; this one seemed safe to call top-tier.

Beer

Bypoing

Since it was a pop-up, there were all sorts of stalls, and one of them was selling beer.

Unfiltered Lager

Bypoing

The can was cute and the beer was excellent. I think it was around 9,000 won. Korea seems to have become a country where, as long as you have the money, you can eat as much good food as you like.
