I’d been hearing for a while that there was a decent burger place near the Shiba shopping street, and then Trump suddenly visited Japan and ate a burger from here, which made it famous overnight. Apparently he played golf with Prime Minister Abe and had a takeout burger from this place in between. It’s close to my office, so I went on a weekday.

Well… there are plenty of handmade burger places, so I wondered how good it could really be.

But… the meat was practically a steak. More like a chopped steak than a hamburger patty. It’s the kind of burger where you really get the full, rich flavor of the beef.

Ketchup

To eat it properly Trump-style, they say you have the meat cooked well done and pile on the ketchup… I did exactly that, and yes, this is the taste. Junky, in a good way… If you’re curious what the President of the United States eats for a burger, definitely go check it out. There are a few branches in the city too.
