Chuka Mihara, an old-school Chinese joint in Ginza

I heard there was a famous Chinese restaurant in Ginza, so I went. Total Showa-era vibe.

The owner

chuka mihara

He was handsome, like a textbook example of a silver fox… could this be the secret to the popularity? I’m getting nervous.

Soup

chuka mihara

Hmm… so-so…

Fried rice

chuka mihara

This one falls a bit short. As you can see, some parts weren’t even stir-fried. They’re supposedly famous for their tanmen, but I can’t expect much on that front either. I don’t think I’ll be coming back.
