While I was mapping out my whisky pilgrimage route, it turned out I would have to have lunch in Ikebukuro along the way. A quick search turned up an interesting ramen shop, so I went.

Ramen

There’s a faint gaminess from the chicken stock, but it’s a high-quality ramen. No idea what it has to do with Hawaii, though.

Noodles

Lately, more and more places are using whole wheat flour, that is, flour milled with the bran still on. To my palate it tastes better than regular noodles. This place is riding the latest trend too, so they use whole wheat flour. Not a bad trend at all.
