Ikinari Steak is a standing-only steak place, and the line is long. It’s so popular that I wanted to see for myself what it was all about at least once.
Salad and soup
It came to around 1,300 yen. Most lunches around here are 1,000 yen, so the price point is a touch high.
Steak
The portion is fine, but the quality of the meat is worse than I expected. I’ve heard in passing that they focus on using good beef right after opening and lower the quality once the crowds come in, and that’s probably what’s going on. Plenty of tourists seem to show up, though… For my part, the heavy hand with the pepper didn’t do it for me either, and I don’t think I’ll be going back.
