Work took me to Ttukseom a few times. People call it a bit of a food desert, but there turned out to be a handful of places worth eating at. As always, wherever you go, you have to tag along with the locals to find the good stuff.
Banchan
Agujjim (spicy braised monkfish)
The monkfish is decent quality. The lady who runs the place clearly has a good hand in the kitchen.
Grilled Spanish mackerel
Just okay…
The place isn’t exactly spotless, so I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone, but it works well when you have some kind of get-together in the neighborhood. Then again, Konkuk University is right across the way, so it’s a bit of a toss-up.
