I had to meet someone in Seoul, but going all the way to Gangnam felt like a hassle, so we met up in Sadang instead. When it comes to a decent place to go there, Odongdo is the usual pick, but it tends to be on the noisy side, so this time we went with Ilbeonji Pocha, somewhere quieter for a drink.

It was cold out, so this went down very nicely.

Pomfret makhoe

Nicely fatty, and a decent portion too, so I was satisfied. With a few more people we would have ordered the duruchigi as well; that was the one and only regret.

Grilled

Pomfret heads, grilled just right. These also went down well as a side for soju.

As long as you don’t mind the owner constantly chatting you up, it’s a place where you can enjoy a good drink. Being mostly regulars is another thing about it. I hope I get a reason to go back.
