After eating all that at Uzuraya, we still headed out to Pontocho for a second round. Wandering around, we spotted an oden place that looked promising and went in.

First pick
The sake map
Masuya Saketen had something similar, so I guess this is the trend these days. Surprisingly, the lineup here is very different from Masuya Saketen’s. Dozens of sakes with hardly any overlap – all I can say is, impressive.
Oden
Great nibbles to go with a drink. The quality of the ingredients was seriously good.

Gyusuji (beef tendon)
The menu
Good prices and a wide range of ingredients. We kept it light with a drink or two, enjoyed it, and left. We walked in without knowing anything about the place – Kyoto really has so many good spots.
Night view
If I ever get the chance, I’d love to live in Kyoto for a few months.
