Zenkoku Choson Kaikan in Nagatacho

I somehow ended up staying at a hotel in central Tokyo. It’s in Nagatacho, and the layout was a bit unusual.

The garden

The room is Japanese-style inside, with a Japanese garden outside. I was surprised a place like this exists right in the middle of Tokyo, and it’s not even an onsen ryokan. I couldn’t take photos of the inside for various reasons. At night, one wall is floor-to-ceiling glass and reflects everything like a mirror, which felt a little risqué…

Nagatacho streets

With the LDP headquarters and the National Diet Building here, it’s called the center of politics, but unless something special is going on it’s a very quiet neighborhood. You have to head out to Akasaka to find anything. At most you occasionally see middle and high school students on school trips.

Breakfast

A typical Japanese breakfast, which I hadn’t had in a while. It felt good to eat a proper breakfast for once.
