Keep the first stop simple and splurge a little on the second – I think that’s the middle-aged-guy pattern. You end up picking out only the good stuff. Our second stop in Ginza was Le Chocolat de H. It’s the chocolate cafe that’s famous in Roppongi and Shibuya, and it recently opened in Ginza too.
The place
It looks like a good date spot too, but it was two middle-aged guys who showed up.
Milk
Stylish.
Chocolat chaud
Rich stuff.
Close-up
Glad I came.
Black tea
This one had a deep, mellow aroma too… goes really well with the chocolate.
Tarte au chocolat
There was no cake on the menu, so I ordered the tarte au chocolat.
Inside
Crisp on the outside, about half melted inside – the best. Really, the best. The dessert cost about as much as lunch did, but no regrets.
