I met up with a friend in Shinjuku for a quick drink. Fresh ingredients skewered and grilled can hardly go wrong. As expected, it is a place for middle-aged guys.

Bacon-wrapped asparagus

The spicy miso sauce is this place’s trademark. It went really well with the fatty skewers.

Probably mushroom

Green pepper

Garlic chives, I think..

Mozzarella cheese

And so on.. Maybe because it is all so high in calories, you fill up fast while eating.

It is not an outstanding restaurant, but it is cheap, tasty and right in the middle of Shinjuku, so it is popular and the line is always long. You have to go a bit late or something.

A new building has gone up next to Shinjuku Takashimaya, and quite a few good shops have moved in.

Le Cafe de Joel Robuchon

If it were not a guys’ night out I would have gone somewhere like this.. Well, nothing to be done.. The guys’ nights out are set to continue.
