A new restaurant building has gone up in Hamamatsucho, that salaryman town. The Japanese economy really must be doing well. Cicci Fantastico is the Italian place that moved in there.
The entrance
The vibe felt out of place for this neighborhood. They use the first and second floors, but lunch is served only on the second floor.
Inside
Clean and tidy.
The plate
They clearly put a lot of care into it. The salad bar is free, so the upside is that you can go back as many times as you like. At around 1,000 yen it is a touch pricier than the average lunch, but the service is good, so it is very satisfying.
Pork shoulder loin braised in tomato sauce
The lunch special was pretty good. Then again, come to think of it, that makes two days of pork in a row..
Today’s menu
The pasta looked tasty too, so I will have to order it next time.
On the 5th floor there is a place called SABAR..
It caught my eye, so I really have to go there next time.
After lunch I took a walk in nearby Shiba Park.
Roughly like this..
It is quite big, but the photo does not really do it justice. What a blessing it is to have a park like this right in the middle of the city..
You can see Tokyo Tower too.
I rested for a while in the quiet park and then headed back.
