Hamamatsu is a city roughly halfway between Tokyo and Osaka. I was there for about a week on business. Here are some photos I took while moving around.
Train station
It’s the countryside, so the sky is gorgeous.
Solar farm
Solar farms have been popping up all over this area lately. From what I looked up, they ideally yield around 10% a year, which is pretty tempting. The Japanese government buys the power at a fixed price for ten years, so the future is guaranteed too. When I get old, I might buy some land in a sunny spot and run a solar farm.
Beach
The weather was really nice.
Waves rolling in too
Oysters
A Hamamatsu specialty.
Nama shirasu (raw whitebait)
Eating it raw is something you can only do in a place like Hamamatsu.
A beautiful day
Sunset
The week flew by.
