City Hall has plenty of hidden gems, and Heungjinok is one of them. It didn’t get wiped out by redevelopment; somehow they managed to find a new space and are doing just fine.

They say it’s been in the family for three generations; I really hope places like this stick around for a long time
Chopstick rest
I think this is the first time I’ve seen one in Korea.. and I mean that as a compliment.
Haejangguk
It’s all called haejangguk, but the style here is completely different. The bean sprouts give it a clean, refreshing taste, and I liked this one too. There really are a lot of great places around here.
