Chocolate Cafe 17℃, Yeonnam-dong

Since Yeontral Park opened, a lot of decent shops have popped up along that stretch. Among them I took a liking to 17℃ and went back several times in the summer of 2015. When it is this good, there is no need to envy Tokyo. The bread too. Of course, unlike Korea, Japan has a very solid top-end lineup..

This is roughly what the place looks like.

These days even brand-new shops do interiors at this level. Self-employed businesses in Korea keep evolving.. I could never run a restaurant myself.

Chocolate bingsu

The bingsu was really good. A level you rarely see even in Japan. Thanks to that I kept coming back all summer long.

Chocolate cake

It was a similar style to Tops, but it tastes much better than it looks. I did think it might be even better with nuts in it, like Tops does.

Macarons and chocolates

A really good cafe has opened in Yeonnam-dong, and I hope it settles in as a neighborhood landmark for a long, long time.
